Omelo vs Clay (2026): The Clay Alternative That Gets You People, Not Tables
Clay is a spreadsheet that buys data. You build a table, choose providers, set up waterfalls and prompts, spend credits filling in rows, and then you still have to reach everyone in it, mostly with other tools. A database gets you whoever is already in it. Omelo gets you who you need.
With Omelo there is no table to build. You say who you need, and Omelo gets you those people, verified, and reaches them on email, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, website contact forms and handwritten letters.
The short answer
Clay gives you a table to build and a stack to assemble. Omelo gets you the people you need and reaches them on seven channels, with nothing to set up.
Outreach: Clay sends email, Omelo sends on seven channels
Clay's own sequencer sends email campaigns of up to four emails. LinkedIn goes through HeyReach, a separate product, and Clay's integrations list Instantly, Smartlead, Outreach and Salesloft for sending. We found no native social DMs, contact forms or mail.

Setup: an operator's project vs. one sentence
Clay is built for operators. Its plans all run on actions and data credits; reviewers name the learning curve and unpredictable credit spend as the hard parts, and Clay points teams to a directory of about 181 outside agencies for hands-on help. Many companies end up hiring someone just to run it.
Omelo needs no operator. You write the target the way you would say it out loud, and Omelo does the finding, verification, writing and sending. It also works inside Claude through the Omelo connector.
Who you can reach
Clay rents other companies' databases one lookup at a time, and each lookup costs credits. Omelo gets you the people you need directly, including the ones no B2B provider carries: the owners and insiders named in SEC filings, creators across eight platforms, and owners who show up only in registries, licenses and permits. We found no SEC or public-records source in Clay's list.
Deliverability
Clay warms and configures inboxes you buy inside it. We did not find inbox placement testing or Google Postmaster data on its pages.

Omelo runs its own warmup network, where mailboxes trade threaded conversations two to four replies deep, tests inbox placement by provider through a seed network, shows Google Postmaster spam rate and domain reputation in the app, checks SPF and DMARC on your domain, and holds a follow-up when someone's out-of-office says they are away.
How Omelo works
You tell Omelo who you need to reach in one sentence, the way you would say it out loud: "GPs who led a climate seed round this quarter," "finance YouTubers with 50,000 to 200,000 subscribers," "owners of independent med spas across the Sun Belt." Omelo gets you those people, verifies every one, writes to each of them individually, and reaches them on the channel they answer: email, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, website contact forms and handwritten letters. Calls and gifts come prepared for you, with a researched call script or a gift and a ready cart.
On X and Instagram, Omelo opens the person's profile, looks around, follows, pauses, then sends the message, and moves on to the next person minutes or hours later in natural sessions, with a daily number that changes day to day. LinkedIn runs through a managed connection with warmup and per-account caps. Connect a company account and a personal one, and nobody hears from both.
