Omelo vs ZoomInfo (2026): The ZoomInfo Alternative That Gets You People, Not Records
ZoomInfo sells access to a B2B database, on annual contracts billed upfront. You get records to look up; reaching the people behind them is mostly left to other tools. A database gets you whoever is already in it. Omelo gets you who you need.
Omelo is built the other way around. You say who you need, and Omelo gets you those people, verified, and reaches them on email, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, website contact forms and handwritten letters, including the people ZoomInfo was never built to hold.
The short answer
ZoomInfo gets you a year of database access. Omelo gets you the people you need and reaches them on seven channels.
Channels: ZoomInfo sends email, Omelo sends on seven
ZoomInfo's outreach product, Engage, is sold as an add-on bundle that sends email through your Google or Office 365 mailbox and places calls you make. ZoomInfo also resells Salesloft, and its Engage address now points to that Salesloft page. We found no LinkedIn messaging, social DMs, contact forms or mail; LinkedIn shows up in ZoomInfo as an ad audience, not a message channel.
Checked September 15, 2026 from ZoomInfo's Engage guide and Salesloft partner page. Full list under Sources.
Who you can reach
ZoomInfo's own pages put its database at anywhere from 410M+ to 500M contacts, and what you can reach is what is in it. ZoomInfo itself added 3M small businesses in June 2026 that "previously returned zero results," and its reviews page concedes non-US data can be stale. Omelo finds the people you need for each request and verifies every one, including the investors named in SEC filings, creators across eight platforms, and owners who show up only in public records.
Deliverability
We found no native mailbox warmup or inbox placement testing in ZoomInfo; email validation arrived in June 2026 through a third-party connector. If you send with ZoomInfo data, you bring your own deliverability tools.
Checked September 15, 2026 from ZoomInfo's release notes and product documentation. Full list under Sources.
Omelo runs its own warmup network, where mailboxes trade threaded conversations two to four replies deep, tests inbox placement by provider through a seed network, shows Google Postmaster spam rate and domain reputation in the app, checks SPF and DMARC on your domain, and holds a follow-up when someone's out-of-office says they are away.
Buying it: annual contracts vs. a quote for your target
ZoomInfo does not publish prices. Its own pricing guide says paid plans "are not published at a fixed price," are "billed annually upfront," and that "monthly billing is not standard," with a minimum seat count and contracts that renew automatically unless you give notice. Vendr's data across 1,012 purchases puts the median at $33,500 a year.
Omelo quotes for your target: tell us who you need to reach and you get a price for getting you those people and reaching them.
How Omelo works
You tell Omelo who you need to reach in one sentence, the way you would say it out loud: "GPs who led a climate seed round this quarter," "finance YouTubers with 50,000 to 200,000 subscribers," "owners of independent med spas across the Sun Belt." Omelo gets you those people, verifies every one, writes to each of them individually, and reaches them on the channel they answer: email, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, website contact forms and handwritten letters. Calls and gifts come prepared for you, with a researched call script or a gift and a ready cart.
On X and Instagram, Omelo opens the person's profile, looks around, follows, pauses, then sends the message, and moves on to the next person minutes or hours later in natural sessions, with a daily number that changes day to day. LinkedIn runs through a managed connection with warmup and per-account caps. Connect a company account and a personal one, and nobody hears from both.
